One of the prominent and filmmakers of Tamil industry Gautham Vasudev Menon celebrates his 50th birthday today. The director has made some iconic films of that will be talked about for generations like Minnale, Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya, Varanam Aayiram, Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, etc. Many celebrities, fans and movie buffs have been sending their best wishes to the man who is know for his deep voice. Studio Green, the production house behind STR's Pathu Thala, a film in which GVM plays a supporting role, revealed a character poster in celebration of his birthday. It shows the actor sporting a different rugged look.
The director is also a part of the star cast of Leo directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The cast and crew of the film are currently shooting in Kashmir. Abhirami Venkatachalam who also a part of the awaited flick has shared a heart-warming birthday wish to Gautham Vasudev Menon. The actress said “You are such a good soul that people crave for your vibes sir". Sh said she is blessed to be amidst him and getting mentored by him time to time. She added ”yes, you talk very less but that's more than enough for a lifetime lesson” and wished the director Happy birthday!
Wishes have been pouring in for the actor who is part of multiple projects. Gautham Vasudev Menon became popular in acting after his cop role in Kannum Kannum Kollaiadithaal that released in 2020. His last film as director Vendhu Thanidhathu Kaadu starring STR was released in 2022. It was a mega-hit period film that revolved around rise of a don in Mumbai. It earned praises for the director as it was set in a different tone not explored by GVM before. It's speculated that Dhuruva Natchathiram, another Gautham Menon's directorial which has been in making since 2016, might see the light as its music composer revealed he has began composing for the project.
