Today (October 17), South India’s most desired and favorite actor, Keerthy Suresh, celebrates her birthday and turns 30. Keerthy is frequently featured in tabloids for her stellar, powerful, and jaw-dropping performances. She made her film debut in the lead role back in 2013 with the Malayalam horror movie Geethaanjali in 2013. This catapulted her into stardom and there was no stopping her after that. She went on to star in many blockbusters following her success in many films, continuing to deliver outstanding performances as always. 1) SAANI KAAYIDHAM:

This action crime film written and directed by Rocky fame Arun Matheswaran, which was released earlier this year saw Keerthy Suresh in a never-before-seen avatar. The film pushes Keerthy Suresh out of her comfort zone into a setting that she is unfamiliar with. But this brings out the best in her which is very evident in the performance that she delivers. The film's plot is about a generational curse that comes true when Ponni (Keerthy Suresh) and her family face a senseless act of injustice. Because of this, she and her brother Sangaiah (Selvagraghavan) decide to seek justice. Keerthy's performance as Ponni was something that took one and all by surprise as we haven't seen her with such rage and intensity before.

2) MAHANATI:

This 2018 Telugu biographical drama film based on the life of actress Savitri written and directed by Nag Ashwin is considered to be one of the actor's best performances to date. She received critical acclaim and was lauded for her portrayal of the character, due to which Keerthy was awarded the National Award for Best Actress at the 66th National Film Awards. The film's story follows the life of Savitri, the most admired actress from South Indian cinema, who goes through various tragic incidents in her personal life. It depicts her turbulent rise to prominence, marriage with Gemini Ganesan (played by Dulquer Salmaan), and subsequent fall from grace, which is viewed from the perspective of a journalist and a photographer. Unable to cope with depression, she eventually becomes an alcoholic. Keerthy lived the role of Savitri and showcased the emotions effectively.

3) RAJINI MURUGAN:

This 2016 Tamil comedy film written and directed by Ponram was her breakthrough into the Tamil film industry. She was brought on board the project as the makers needed someone feisty in order to capture the true essence of the character. The film spins a yarn on the tale that follows the life of an unemployed youth, Rajini Murugan (Sivakarthikeyan), who falls in love with Krithika (Keerthy Suresh) but her father opposes their union due to an old misunderstanding. But soon after Rajini inherits his grandfather's property, things get better for the couple. Rajini Murugan earned Keerthy Suresh the fan base that she owns now and one can definitely not forget how she captivated the masses with her expressions in the song 'Un Mela Oru Kannu'.

4) RANG DE:

This 2021 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film written and directed by Venky Atluri features Keerthy Suresh playing a role that is a treat to watch. She provides a much-needed warmth that allows the audience to dwell on nostalgia. The film revolves around Arjun (Nithiin), a spoilt young man, who is jealous of his neighbor, Anu (Keerthy Suresh), as she gets doted on by everyone around him. He finds out that she wishes to move abroad for higher education and decides to ruin her plan. Keerthy's performance in the film got rave reviews and she managed to hold the film together with her performance, backed by Nithiin and others.

5) REMO:

This 2016 Tamil romantic comedy film written and directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan has Keerthy Suresh play a very chirpy character who is very charming and easygoing. Due to this, her screen presence was amplified and was instantly liked by the masses who tuned into the film. Remo was also a film that had her in her best looks. The plot of Remo tells the story of an aspiring actor, SK (Sivakarthikeyan), who falls in love with a doctor named Kavya (Keerthy Suresh). Knowing that she is already engaged to another man, SK decides to disguise himself as a female nurse as a way to test his acting skills, break off her engagement, and also to win her heart all at the same time.
