Soori is a popular supporting actor and comedian who recently turned lead in the Vetri Maaran directorial film Viduthalai Part: 1. The actor received high praises for the film that has crossed the 50th-day mark in its theatrical run. The actor has some interesting projects in line as lead including the film Kottukkaali. The title of the film was announced in March and the film will also mark the debut of the Malayalam actress Anna Ben in Tamil. Now, the production house bankrolling the film has revealed an exciting update. The Makers have announced that they have wrapped filming for Kottukkaali they have further said “Now, It’s full speed ahead with post-production to bring you an unforgettable cinematic experience”.

The film Kottukkaali is helmed by the director PS. Vinothraj, who made his debut with the film Pebbles/Koozhangal. His debut film got him recognition internationally as it was the official Indian entry to the Oscars and also won the IFFR Tiger Award Winner of ‘21. A teaser of the film was released about two months ago in March and it featured Anna Ben in a new look with actor Soori. A Rooster could also play an important role in the film, as the announcement poster and the teaser video featured it. Now ,the makers have completed filming the movie that is set in a rural backdrop. The makers also released an exciting poster that showed the whole team celebrating the wrap with a cake. It also features a picture of actor Sivakarthikeyan, who is also the producer of the film, with the director.
Soori has some interesting projects in lines as he is set to be a part of the Viduthalai Part:2, which will be a sequel to the hit film directed by Vetri Maaran. His upcoming film in line is with acclaimed director Ram’s Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai. The romantic drama film also has Anjali and Malayalam star Nivin Pauly in lead roles.
