Over the past year, the Tamil film industry has been rocked by a number of deaths, with many still grieving over the unexpected passing away of the notable celebrities. Among those who passed away this year owing to various health conditions are popular directors like KV Anand, S.P. Jhananathan and Thamira died, followed by comedy actors Vivek, Pandu and the veteran TKS Natarajan, with yet another notable celebrity's death from the Tamil film fraternity now leaving everyone devastated. 

On Saturday, popular Tamil actor and comedian Ayyappan Gopi, who has been a part of Tamil cinema for many years passed away, with the reason for his untimely demise yet to be known. Ayyappan Gopi, who has primarily appeared in character and comedy roles, has made notable appearances in films like Sivakarthikeyan's Kaaki Sattai and Santhanam's Dhilluku Dhuddu over the years. According to reports, it is being stated that Ayyappan Gopi had once during an interview said that he would like to die while he was acting and stated that his passion for the art had no bounds or restrictions.
