Doctor is Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film directed by Nelson Dhilipkumar and bankrolled jointly by Sivakarthikeyan Productions and KJR Studios. The film is co-produced by Sivakarthikeyan’s friend Kalai Arasu who is a partner in his production company. Kalai Arasu has now shared an Instagram post stating that he is back to work after a long time for Doctor - “Back to work after a long time. Feels so good. #workmode #doctor.” Since his message doesn’t convey if the team has started the post-production or the shooting work for Doctor, we spoke to the director of the film Nelson Dhilipkumar who clarified that it is definitely not about shooting or post-production but maybe he has started his work on the planning for shooting and other stuffs related to the film’s progress.

Doctor stars Priyanka Arul Mohan of Gang Leader fame as the heroine. The young girl Deshna, who had acted in a minor role in Sivakarthikeyan's latest release Hero, seems to be a part of Doctor also. Sivakarthikeyan has been going through an eventful time in his career with his recent releases see-sawing at the Box Office. Sivakarthikeyan would be pinning all his hopes on Doctor and Ayalaan. Ayalaan, bankrolled by RD Raja's 24AM Studios, has just a few days of shooting left to be canned but the film still has plenty of post-production work left. This movie will see Sivakarthikeyan pairing up with Rakul Preet Singh and will have music by the Mozart of Madras - AR Rahman. Isha Koppikar, Shard Kelkar, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran and Bhanupriya are all a part of this movie's cast. Nirav Shah is handling the cinematography and Ruben is taking care of the editing duties of Ayalaan.  
 
Recently, the makers of Doctor had released the first single from the film which went on to become a huge chartbuster. Anirudh is scoring tunes for Doctor and this happen to be his 6th film with Sivakarthikeyan after Ethir Neechal, Maan Karate, Kakki Sattai, Remo, and Velaikkaran. They duo is likely to repeat the magic once again with Doctor, we are sure that just like the first single, the entire album is going to be a delight for the fans.
