Director Rajesh’s last film, Mr Local, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara in the lead roles, was a failure at the box office, receiving mixed reviews from the critics and general audience. However, Rajesh is someone known to have given us some of the blockbuster comedy entertainers like Siva Manasula Sakthi, Boss Engira Baskaran, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, etc. Details regarding his next outing are out and we are sure that he will be looking forward to making a solid comeback. The young and happening GV Prakash Kumar will be playing the male lead in Rajesh’s next directorial venture and Bigil sensation Amritha Aiyer is said to play the female lead. It is going to be interesting to see the fresh pairing of GV Prakash and Amritha Aiyer together.

Anandaraj, Daniel Annie Pope, and Bigg Boss fame Reshma Pasupuleti will be seen in crucial roles in this film. The shooting has already begun and the makers have planned to wrap up the film soon. Actress Reshma Pasupuleti shared new pictures from the sets of the film and expressed her excitement about acting in the film. She wrote, “Excited to be a part of this amazing team @gvprakash @Amritha_Aiyer @danianniepope #anandraj sir director @rajeshmdirector sir grateful #shootmode #movie @gururameshv #myfavgvprakash”.

It is said that the project has been planned as a quickie and if everything goes as per plan, we can expect the movie to hit the screens for the festive occasion of Tamil New Year. GV Prakash and director Rajesh have already worked together in Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru which received mixed reviews from the audience. This film marks their second collaboration.

The interesting aspect of the movie is that it is said to be produced by Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures. An official confirmation regarding the same is awaited. We may expect the announcement to be made anytime soon. Sun Pictures is handling several biggies right now including Thalapathy 65 with director Nelson, Suriya 40 with director Pandiraj, and Dhanush’s D44 with music scored by Anirudh Ravichander. With three mega biggies already in hand, it is quite interesting that the company has come forward to bankroll a comparatively smaller and quicker project. For now, check out the images shared by Reshma Pasupuleti from the sets of the film, here:
