Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan is celebrating his 35th birthday, with his fans getting a big surprise in the form of the first look of his character from his upcoming Telugu film being unveiled. His second Telugu film in his career after his portrayal of yesteryear Tamil actor Gemini Ganesan in Keerthy Suresh's Mahanati, Dulquer will be seen as Lieutenant Ram in Vyjayanthi Movies' Production No. 7, which is being directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. Dulquer's looks from the 1960s has been released by the makers, who have also shared a special promo video from the film giving us a first visual glimpse of the Malayalam star amidst scenic backdrops and locations. 

Being made in Telugu and Malayalam, the upcoming Dulquer Salmaan-starrer is a period drama, with the actor taking to social media on Wednesday to extend his gratitude to the makers for releasing a special poster and the film's promo video. He tweeted, "Thank you for the lovely surprise you guys. Here’s a poster of my next Telugu project with Hanu Raghavapudi. It has been a great learning experience shooting for this one across India and can’t wait for you guys to watch it on screen." In April, reputed Telugu production banner Swapna Cinemas released an introduction video for Dulquer's Lieutenant Ram character, while suggesting that the film will be a 'love saga'. 

Apart from Dulquer's film with Vyjayanthi Movies, the acclaimed Malayalam actor is currently awaiting the release of the biographical crime thriller, Kurup, which is carrying massive expectations as it also features Manoj Bajpayee, Sobhita Dhulipala, Indrajith Sukumaran, Sunny Wayne, Shine Tom Chacko to name a notable few. Dulquer had also wrapped up filming for his next Tamil film, Hey Sinamika, sometime back and has in the pipeline a Malayalam film titled Salute
