Cook with Comali is one of the most enjoyed television shows in recent times and it has earned a huge fan following. The show has turned out to impress the masses and the youngsters because of its humour, light-hearted treatment, and of course, some exciting competitions between the contestants. The show which started off with 8 contestants is now progressing with 5 contestants. Baba Baskar Master, Ashwin Kumar, Pavithra Lakshmi, Kani Thiru, and Shakeela are in competition, while Dheepa, Madurai Muthu, and Dharsha Gupta have been eliminated from the show. With the massive success of Cook with Comali, all the contestants and the comalis have attained wide popularity among the masses and people have been eagerly to know about their other commitments and professional updates as well.

Recently, we saw Pugazh bagging an opportunity to act in Santhanam’s untitled next and the audience were happy to know about the development. Dharsha Gupta announced that she would be acting as the female lead in director Mohan G’s (Draupathi fame) next film, Rudhra Thandavam, starring Richard in the lead. Ashwin is also said to be in talks for a few interesting projects. On that note, details regarding Pavithra Lakshmi’s new film have now been revealed and the stills from the film have been doing rounds on social media. Pavithra plays the female lead in the upcoming Malayalam film titled Ullasam that has the young and happening Shane Nigam (of Kumbalangi Nights fame) as the male lead.

The shooting of this film has already been completed, even before Pavithra’s entry into Cook with Comali, but the film and its newly released pictures have been garnering attention now. Pavithra looks pretty and her pairing with Shane Nigam is fresh and beautiful. This film is debutant directed by Jeevan Jojo and has music scored by Shaan Rahman. The film's story is written by Praveen Balakrishnan. Joe Kaithamattom and Christi Kaithamattom have produced this film under the banner of Kaithamattom Brothers. Swaroop Philip and John Kutty have handled the cinematography and editing departments respectively. Ullasam is expected to release in the theatres very soon.
