You don't go to Nagarjuna's movie expecting a new storyline, a narrative style and direction. You go to enjoy yourself, have fun, listen to some funky dialogues, watch some songs, some action sequences and come out with a smile on your face. Ragada meets this standard of expectation! But it is a predictable entertainer that follows the age old formula!

Set in the backdrop of the low-rung mafia in Hyderabad, the film revolves around Satya (Nagarjuna) who happens to win the confidence of a goon GK (Dev Gill), whose love interest is Sirisha (Sirisha). As expected, Sirisha falls in love with Satya, who in turn encounters another ravishing girl Ashata Lakshmi (Priyamani), after rescuing her from baddies. Then the hero is caught between two girls. Naturally, the confidence of GK in Satya is shaken, followed by sudden spurt of troubles for the hero from the enemies of Ashta Lakshmi. How Satya cuts through the deal? It forms the rest of the story.

Nagarjuna looks handsome and younger than his previous flicks. His style and charisma are an added bonus to this film. Nag tried for Rayalaseema accent, which didn’t have any impact. Anushka is gorgeous. She has outdone the rest with her unmatchable screen presence. Priyamani exposed her body more than Anushka to make her presence felt. On performance side, she had the upper hand. Pradeep Rawat doesn’t have anything to do except howling and yelling all the time. Dev Gill who excelled in Magadheera is given a spineless character. Brahmanandam played a lengthy role and he is the only relief in the over dose action masala. Master Bharat is fine. There is nothing to mention about rest of the star cast.

Veeru Potla’s funny one-liners work in few scenes but in general, he does an average job as dialogue writer. Thaman’s songs are in sync with the mood of the film, but nothing stays in our mind. Background score is good though. Sarvesh Murari's camera is fantastic. His cinematography is the biggest plus point of this stylishly shot film. In short, Ragada offers nothing new, but Veeru Potla succeeds in making the movie in an entertaining manner.
