Actress-singer Shruthi Haasan confirmed to be the heroine in Prabhu Deva's Bollywood directorial venture, a musical love story starring producer Taurani's son and debutant Girish Taurani in the lead.
Names like Samantha, Trisha and a few others were considered for the film, but the makers have finally zeroed in Shruthi Haasan. "I have never worked with him (Prabhu Deva) before. So for me it is going to be lovely to finally get to work with him," the actress said in an interview.
"We will start preparations from August 1. We have not finalised on the name for the film yet," said Taurani, owner of Tips Industries Limited. The shooting will take place Mumbai, Pune and some parts of Himachal Pradesh. The producer confirmed that the film is a remake of a Southern movie and that they are looking at a March-April release next year.
