New doc on the block!

Cinema's glamour, money and fame have haunted the dreams of many. Simple rural folk and sophisticated metro folk flock to Chennai’s Kodambakkam, hoping that one day they too will besuper stars. But the most intriguing bunch of people who have celluloid dreamsseem to be– doctors! Medicine and movies arepoles apart, and yet, we’ve seen a fair share of doctors and medical students act in movies, including actors like Rajasekar, Ajmal, Tananya and Rathi. And now we have one more joining that list – Bharath Reddy.

Bharath, a practising Cardio specialistin Hyderabad whohas acted in a few Telugu movies, made his debut in Kollywood as a cop in Unnaipol Oruvan. While medicine is his passion and profession, his heart also has a soft corner for movies. Bharath’s performance in Unnaipol Oruvan has alerted film-makers to his talent, and offers have been pouring in. The doctor-actor is happy to accept villainous and other supporting roles, so long asthey do not hamper his practice.
