Abhishek Bachchan has been confirmed to be the hero in the Hindi remake of ace director Puri Jagannath's Businessman. The remake will be directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu, who starred in the original, was supposed to make his Hindi debut with Businessman, though Abhishek’s name was also under consideration. But Puri Jagannath wanted to cast Mahesh Babu in the lead of the Hindi version as well since Businessman is a story of a gangster which does not suit Abhishek.
Apparently, Abhishek Bachchan was finalised as per Ram Gopal Varma’s suggestion. "Finally its confirmed. Me and Puri Jagan together are making the remake of the block buster telugu hit 'Businessman' with Abhishek bachchan," he posted on Twitter.
