Shankar to direct 3 Idiots remakes

One of the most celebated directors in South India, Shankar will direct the much-discussed remakes of Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously. According to sources, Gemini Film Circuit will be producing the flick in both languages.

Notably, this is the first time Shankar will make a remake exercise. The cast and crew of the film would be announced soon. At present, the director is busy with the post production works of Robot, starring superstar Rajinikanth.

3 Idiots is the highest grossing Bollywood film of all time in India. Setting a box office record grossing Rs. 410 crores, it also went on to win many awards, winning six Filmfare Awards, including best film and best director plus 16 IIFA awards.
