Villu: What will it offer?

With a Vijay film releasingthis Pongal, it's time for big celebrations for his fans; the fun is even more for fans who adore Vijay and Dhanush (whose Padikkathavan too releases this week) and general movie-lovers.

After giving the hit film Pokkiri, theVijay-Prabhu Deva team started working on Villu with great confidence and now, theyarebrimming withthe joy of having come up with something really entertaining. Though many expected that Villu would be very similar to Pokkiri, the duo promises that their new presentation willin fact bethree times moreexciting! With Villu inching towards its release, the film crew is shedding some light on what their product has to offer.

First, it has to be mentioned that Villu is a complete Vijay film, replete with elements and stylepersonifying Vijay! With the Prabhu Deva and Vijay collaboration which created Pokkiri, the minimum guarantee is that the film will become a super hit. Prabhu Deva and Vijay are both full of stylish eccentricities (in dance, actingand deportment) and novel ideas that hook the attention of the audience, and their collaboration only promises fun galore. Both have worked hard and ensured that audiences get to experiencenever-seen-before dance moves, fascinating stunt sequences, and lovable antics, including the one depicted on Villu’s promos – thecomic way in which Vijay chews his shirt collar!

Apart from the Vijay factor, the film heavily banks on Nayantara’s glamour, which seems to be touching a new high with every film. Nayantara is not just a glamour doll in the film, but has also excelled in adding more fun to the comic caper by Vijay and Vadivelu, another actor who waspart of the successful Pokkiri. Prabhu Deva is very well known for his sense of humour and lends his magic to the well-timed comedy track of the film.

Special mention has to be made about the exotic locales shown.Ayngaran International’s Arun Pandian stretched the budget to ensure the songs’ richness amazes audiences. The effect of seeing Vijay and Nayantara elegantly dancing with exotic locales in the backdrop is indescribable.

Devi Sri Prasad’s music is energetic and blends well with the mood of the film. There is another bonus too– a song accidentally penned by Prabhu Deva! Yes! On the sets, Prabhu Deva is a thorough professional who gets truly bugged when someone messes up with his plans and is free in giving them a piece of his mind. (But later, he is quick to apologize as well and will go to any extent to appease thewronged person!) On one such occasion, when Prabhu was scolding a unit member, music director Prasad foundhis wordsquite catchy and recorded his reprimand to be later used in a song! There are several funny incidents like these that you can hear from the Villu unit.

Walk intoa theatre playing Villu to feel all this energy. No matter how prudent you are, you will let your guard down and jump in your seat out of excitement. Villu is one of Vijay’smost entertaining films! Enjoy it!
