Vijaykanth ready to direct

Rumours are rife that actor-turned-politician Vijayakanth is ready to make his directorial debut with Virudhagiri. The actor was supposed to begin directing last year, but political commitments ate into his time. Now it is said that he is keen on finding time for this movie. In keeping with the latest trend of remakes and remixes, Virudhagiri is also expected to be an Indianised version of the Hollywood movie Taken. Incidentally, we also hear that Action King Arjun’s next movie, which is to be part-produced by a Hollywood studio that insists on remaking an English movie, is also in the lines of Taken! However, there is more than one Hollywood movies with the title Taken, hence we must wait and see if the two actors have zeroed in on the same story or not.
