Vijay joining Congress?

Speculation is rife about actor Vijay joining the Congress party after he met Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi. Going by the media reports, Rahul had a lengthy discussion with the actor on the steps to be taken to strengthen the party in Tamil Nadu.

Before the meeting with Rahul, Vijay, along with his father S.A. Chandrasekhar, had attended a meeting in Puducherry organized by Vijay's Puducherry Fan Club and Puducherry Munnetra Congress MLA N. Anand.

In his address, Vijay said “I will never say that I have no desire to enter politics. It is a big ocean and I feel that one has to go step by step and study the issue before taking the plunge.”
