DirectorAtlee has already clarified that he would decide on the sequel after the box office verdict. The team, we hear, is planning to work on a sequel which will narrate Vijay's relationship with his daughter. If all goes well, Vijay's daughter Divya will play his reel-life daughter in the sequel. Once again, Thanu will bankroll the project.
We hear that the Theri sequel will be Vijay's 61st film, and will go on floors after completing his ongoing project with director Bharathan. On the other hand, some reports claim that the film will be a fresh script.
