Venice awaits Mani Ratnam's arrival
After Cannes, it's destination Venice for ace director Mani Ratnam, who will be honoured with the 'Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker Award' at the Venice Film Festival to be held from September 6, 2010.
Mani Ratnam's latest offering Raavan (in Hindi) and Raavanan (in Tamil) will also be screened at the festival. Vikram, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are expected to attend the event. Along with the award, the director will be presented with the precious Reverso Jaeger-LeCoultre watch (a unique model with a commemorative engraving).
Recent recipients of the award include Takeshi Kitano, Abbas Kiarostami, Agnes Warda and Sylvester Stallone.
