National award winning director Vetrimaaran has already began the shooting of his dream project Vada Chennai yesterday. The trilogy, which has Dhanush and Samantha in the lead, will narrate the 30 years in the life of a gangster. Bankrolled jointly by Lyca and Wunderbar Films, the film kickstarted with a jail scene and Dhanush has allocated 200 days for this thriller saga. It also stars Andreah, Daniel Balaji, Samuthirakani and others.
For the first time, Samantha will sport a deglamorized look, that of a slum dweller. With music composed by Santhosh Narayanan, the film is expected to hi-octane action thriller. Coming from an award winning director Vetrimaaran, along with National award-winning actor-producer Dhanush, the film has created quite high expectations.
