Vaamanan is an action thriller

The audio of Jai's latest movie Vaamanan was launched on the 9th of April. The event took place at Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai and was attended by celebrities including Karthik, Jeyam Ravi, Parthiban and Anbalaya Prabhakaran. Shridhar Subramaniam of Sony Music said that it was a big day for his company as this was the first film that the label has released with Yuvan's music. The album has peppy numbers which should attract young audiences. Interestingly, Yuvan is a signed artist on Sony Music.

Vaamanan has Jai of Chennai 600 028 and Subramaniyapuram fame as hero. Priya Anand, a Chennai-based model makes her debut as an actress. Lakshmi Rai has a vital role along with Santhanam, Rahman and Sampath. Arvind Krishna handles the cinematography. The lyrics have been written by Na. Muthukumar. The movie is directed by debutant Ahmed who has earlier worked as an assistant to director Kathir. Vaamanan is presented by R. Ravindran on behalf of Dream Valley Corporation. The movie is an entertaining action thriller. Great detail has been spent in keeping the consistency of the characters such as the way they live, where they live, how they live and what they use in their daily life. Vaamanan is a realistic presentation of the predicament of an individual, when an innocent fun-loving Jai is forced to transform into a daredevil to save himself from the unforeseen situation that life throws him into.

The press meet of Vaamanan was also held on the same day at Hotel Green Park. During the meet, Yuvan said that he liked the story from the first time Ahmed narrated it to him. He added that the film has been treated realistically without unimaginable heroism, etc. He said it was interesting to be working in this project and he had to musically render it in as real a manner as possible. He wished the director all success. Cinematographer Arvind Krishna mentioned that Vaamanan is one of the biggest projects he has dealt with and he had to present it with a natural touch of a dry urban atmosphere.
