Unnai Pol Oruvan on August 12?
Versatile actor Kamal Haasan's much-hyped bilingual film Unnai Pol Oruvan (Ee Nadu in Telugu), directed by Chakri, has completed 95% of shooting and will be ready for release with minor work to be completed.
A remake of the critically-acclaimed Hindi film A Wednesday, the film has already created huge expectations in trade circles as it is Kamal’s next release after Dasavathaaram. Unnai Pol Oruvan is produced simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu by Kamal Haasan's production banner Raj Kamal and UTV Productions.
The film is likely to be released on August 12, which marks the golden jubilee year of Kamal's debut in films. His first film Kalathoor Kannamma, starring him as a child artist, released on August 12, 1959.
Kamal Haasan plays the role of Naseeruddin Shah in the original. Venkatesh plays the role of Anupam Kher in the Telugu version, while Mohanlal will be essaying the same role in the Tamil version. Kamal Haasan's daughter Shruthi Haasan is making her debut as a music director with this film, being shot with RED cameras by Manoj Soni from Mumbai. Thotta Tharini is the art director.
