Director S. Balan's Udumban, which is all set to hit screens today, got into trouble recently when P. Selvaraj, a wildlife enthusiast, filed a case against the film for exploiting the monitor lizard while shooting the movie. Udumban is based on a real life incident and will feature bike racer Dilip Roger in the lead. However producer Jegannathan clarified that due permission was taken from the Animal Welfare Board of India before the shoot.

Despite all the troubles, the film is expected to have a smooth release today.
