If the reports are to be believed, an upcoming distribution house named AZIndia.com has bought the US theatrical rights of Thoongavanam for a fancy sum. According to the distributors, the film is said to have a grand premiere show in US on November 9, as it is expected to hit the silver screens for Diwali, which falls on November 10th.

This bi-lingual action thriller starring Kamal Haasan and Trisha in the lead roles, has Prakash Raj, Kishore, Sampath Raj, Asha Sharath, Madhu Shalini, and Yuhi Sethuin the supporting cast. Titled as Cheekati Rajyam in Telugu, the film is written by Kamal Haasan and directed by Rajesh M. Selva. With the lyrics of veteran lyricist Vairamuthu, the music is composed by Ghibran. The film which is an official remake of the French film 'Sleepless Night', is produced by Raaj Kamal Films International in association with Sri Gokulam Movies. The recently release trailer of the film has already raised the eye- brows of many!
