This voluptuous actress needs no introduction. Shakeela, the original Glamour Queen down South, has long since�distanced herself from the soft porn industry where she ruled the roost for many years,�and has�migrated into mainstream cinema. Nowadays, the actress prefers supporting roles far removed from glamour and insists that though initially the move was hard, recently roles have started coming her way.

The actress recently wed Sathish, an active member in Vijayakanth’s political party, who is quite open to her desire to continue acting. “Our is a love marriage that took place with the consent of his parents. Unfortunately, my mother, who has been my pillar of support all these years, passed away last year. She is the reason I have lasted so long in this industry in spite of the many troubles that came my way. My husband is very supportive of my acting career. I have decided not to do glamorous roles any more. I have ten movies in hand now. In each, I play an interesting supporting role,” she reveals.
