Tamil Cine Music Awards

For the first time in the history of Tamil Cinema, an award to recognise a musician has been launched. The award ceremony took place at University Hall, Chepauk, in a grand manner on May 18, 2008.

The commendable move to recognise a music artist in Tamil cinema is also coupled with another noble cause. The collection from this award ceremony will be forwarded to a welfare fund for people affected by AIDS.
