Tamannaah confirmed in Kick remake

We know that editor Mohan, father of popular director M. Raja and actor Jayam Ravi, has bought the Tamil remake rights of Ravi Teja's latest Telugu blockbuster Kick. Now it is confirmed that Tamannaah will be the heroine in the Tamil remake, to be directed by M. Raja with Jayam Ravi in the lead.

Tamannaah reportedly said she has not seen the original film, but is signing the remake because she has full faith in Mohan and his sons.

"I will watch the movie later. As far as my remuneration is concerned, I am lucky to star in the movie. My ambition is to step into the vacant position of No. 1, which was occupied by Simran earlier. I feel the film will provide me an ideal platform in achieving my goal. So I would take whatever you fix as salary for me."

Produced by R.R. Movie Makers with a hefty budget of Rs. 20 crores, Kick revolves around Kalyan (Ravi Teja), who loves challenges and cannot live without getting a kick out of doing things. He falls in love with Naina (Ileana), but she leaves him due to Kalyan's habit of quitting jobs for what she feels are unnecessary reasons.

Naina goes to Malaysia where a tough cop Kalyan Krishna (Shaam) is interested to marry her. Interestingly, Kalyan Krishna is in a mission to catch a notorious thief, which naturally turns out to be Kalyan. How Kalyan manages to evade arrest and also win back his lady love forms the crux of the story.
