Suriya in Singam
Singam, Suriya's 25th film, will be directed by Hari, director of blockbuster Vel, after which Suriya's brand value shot by several notches.
The story of Singam reportedly revolves around smuggling activities taking place in Rameshwaram. Suriya plays a cop after a long time (remember Khaaka Khaaka?) and the film will have all the ingredients needed to keep audiences engaged without a lag in narration.
Singam also has Anushka and Prakashraj in important roles. Vivek has been reportedly paid a whopping amount to provide the comedy element.
Suriya hopes to repeat the success of Vel and will become even more sought-after if Singam breaks his previous records. Suriya has also bagged a role in Ram Gopal Varma's next venture Raktha Charithra in the role of a serial killer.
