A lot of celebrities attended the Mersal audio launch including some popular faces like Dhanush and director Sundar C. The director spoke at length as how Vijay convinced him to develop the script of Sangamitra which is now a grand project by Sri Thenandal Films.

“I haven’t done a movie with Vijay yet but he has been the reason behind a lot of scripts that I did and made super hits with other actors. And, I am really jealous of Atlee. I should admit that. He had the chance to work with AR Rahman in his 3rd film but I had to wait 22 years to work with ARR,” said Sundar C.

As part of the event, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa little champs guy Vaishnav Girish performed a couple of AR Rahman songs on stage during Mersal audio launch.
