Leading Tamil TV channel Sun TV has bagged the satellite rights of ace director S.S. Rajamouli’s graphical extravaganza Naan Ee (Eega in Telugu) for a record price. Sun TV procured the rights for astounding Rs. 3.35 crores and the distribution rights for Rs. 5 crores.

S.S. Rajamouli tweeted, “When Eega Tamil rights were sold for 5 crores, I was a bit worried that we are overselling. Tamil satellite rights were sold for a whooping 3.35 crores!! We are left wondering whether we undersold the rights.”

The first copy of Naan Ee will be submitted for censorship on May 21. The makers are taking efforts to release the film on May 30 without any further delay. In case of pending VFX work, the plan is to release the film without these scenes and add them a few weeks after the release as a special attraction, it is heard.
