Sridevi: Chief guest at RGV film launch

Ram Gopal Varma's favorite actress Sridevi will be the chief guest at the launch of his forthcoming Telugu film Katha, Screenplay, Dharsakatvam: Appala Raju (starring upcoming hero Sunil and Swathi in the lead) on August 27.

After marrying Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor and settling in Mumbai, Sridevi has not been part of any film event in the South for the last 10 years. However, RGV has reportedly managed to convince Sridevi to come and launch the movie.

Produced by Kiran Kumar Koneru of Sreya Productions, Katha, Screenplay, Dharsakatvam: Appala Raju is said to be a hilarious entertainer, yet holding all the elements of an RGV film. After a gap of 12 years, this is the first time Ram Gopal Varma is directing a straight Telugu film. The film will grace screens during Sankranthi 2011.
