Soundarya Rajinikanth to get engaged on February 17

As reported earlier, Soundarya Rajinikath, younger daughter of Superstar Rajinikanth, will enter marital bliss soon. The betrothal ceremony will take place on February 17.

Soundarya will marry Ashwin, son of city-based industrialist Ramkumar, who runs a construction company. Though the wedding date is yet to be announced, it is believed the wedding will be conducted later this year.

Soundarya runs an animation company, Ocher Studios, and has recently entered film production. Her first film Goa is expected to be released on January 29.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Goa is in trouble facing a legal battle. Financier Kamlesh Kothari has alleged that Soundarya approached him last October to help finance the film with Rs. 2 crore and promised Rs. 30 lakhs as royalty along with interest. The Ocher head also promised to return the amount before the film's release, but with the film due on Friday, there is no sign of returning the amount, the petitioner claimed.

The issue will be taken up for hearing on January 28th. There are also reports that an out of court settlement would be welcomed by both parties. Interestingly, Ocher Studios was involved in another case on December 2 filled by NAPC Properties. So let's hope that things get solved before Friday and the movie will grace theatres as scheduled.
