Shruti in Luck

The Bollywood film that is going to mark the debut of Shruti Haasan has been named Luck. Soham Shah, who directed Kaal, is directing this film, which will be completely shot in South Africa.�Shooting of this film begins on July 8, 2008.

According to Soham Shah, Luck is an action-packed film starring Sanjay Dutt, Mithun Chakraborthy, Imran Khan (Aamir Khan’s nephew with whom Shruti will pair up in this film), Danny Denzongpa, Ravi Kissen and Rati Agnihotri. Soham said that the role given to Shruti is an action-oriented role and required a girl with a beautiful face and athletic physique; Shruti fits the bill to perfection, he feels.

It is said that though Shruthi liked the script and wanted to work in�this film,�she agreed only after consulting�her father Kamal Haasan.

The famous Salim-Sulaiman brothers are composing the music of this film.

Shruti Haasan is a talented singer. Moreover, she is the daughter of Kamal Haasan, a very great artist who is recognized worldwide these days and the effervescent Sarika, who has made a comeback to acting with films like Parzania and Bheja Fry. She has grown up watching her father’s films. All this should have given her an idea about acting. Stage is not new to her either, as she has performed in many musical concerts; she even performed in a concert that marked Rolling Stone magazine’s launch in India. So, now she looks perfectly poised and set to rise and shine in the world of cinema.

Hope she changes the “luck” of Soham Shah, whose Kaal did not do well at box office.
