Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's forthcoming film Angel John, to be directed by S.L. Jayasuriya, will mark the Malayalam debut of upcoming Tamil sensation Shanthnoo Bhagyaraj, son of Tamil actor-director K. Bhagyaraj and Poornima.
In Angel John, Shanthnoo will don the role of a B.Com. student whose only interest is to venture into business. But his father Angel John (Mohanlal) wants him to be a government employee. In a strange situation, Angel John's son attempts to commit suicide, but somehow survives. The rest of the story develops how his father brings him back to a normal life.
Angel John is produced by Narayana Das under the banner of Creative Team Productions. More details are awaited. Shanthnoo, who debuted into films as a child artist in 1998 with Vettiya Madichu Kattu and as a hero in 2008 with Sakkarakatti, is now doing two bilingual films in Tamil and Telugu: Pudhiya Varpugal and Sare Nee Istam.
