Saroja, Dhaam Dhoom clash
The last week of August will see the release of some long-awaited films. Jeeva and Venkat Prabhu's last releases were both box-office hits. Both narrated simple stories and had cast relative newcomers. Both boasted of some amazing music (Harris and Yuvan rocked!), though of completely different genres. Unnale Unnale and Chennai 600028 were two superhit films of 2007.
This year, the films of both these directors will clash at the box-office. Jeeva's Dhaam Dhoom starring Jayam Ravi, Kangna Ranaut and Lakshmi Rai releases on August 29th; Venkat Prabhu's Saroja starring S.P.B. Charan, Prem G. and Kajal Aggarwal releases on August 30th. Both directors have created thrillers.
Music of both these films has been doing very well on the countdown charts. The fate of these films at the box-office may be a mystery, but cinema lovers will have a great weekend with such an interesting and exciting lineup of films.
