Sarathkumar's next Malayalam film

After winning the hearts of millions in Kerala by his powerful portrayal of Edachena Kukkan in superstar Mammootty's recent magnum opus historical film Pazhassi Raja, for which he won the special jury award at the Ujala-Asianet Film Awards 2009, Tamil action hero Sarathkumar is getting ready for his second Malayalam film.

If these reports are to be believed, the actor has given some dates for a yet-to-be-titled Malayalam film directed by debutant Arun Gopi and scripted by Kalavoor Ravikumar. The film will also have Kunchakko Boban in a major role. It is said that Sarathkumar will appear as Kunchakko Boban's uncle in this film, touted to be a revenge drama. More details are awaited.

Sarathkumar is currently waiting the release of his latest Tamil film Jaggubhai, directed by K.S. Ravikumar, a remake of the 2001 French film Wasabi. Starring Sarathkumar as actress Shriya Saran's father, Jaggubhai is getting ready for release on Pongal (January 14).
