Sarathkumar in Jaggubhai
Sarathkumar is one actor who has meticulously carved his space in tinsel town. He is now working on Jaggubhai, directed by K.S. Ravikumar. Shriya Saran and Kiran Rathod play the female leads. The film is about a relationship between father and daughter and Sarathkumar plays the dual role of the father and young hero. The film was first planned with Rajinikanth as hero, but since super star was not able to accept the role, it went to Sarathkumar.
Ravikumar is the director of Sarathkumar's first film Cheran Pandiyan and it was under the same director that he worked for Nattamai, which became a blockbuster.
Jaggubhai is expected to be a wholesome family entertainer, as there is a lot of hype surrounding it. Shriya has signed a string of films in Tamil and Telugu. She also stars in Deepa Mehta's What's cooking?
Shooting for Jaggubhai has been progressing well in Bangkok and Australia. The film is jointly produced by Radaan Media Works and Sun TV and should release by the end of this year.
