Sameera: The Asal choice!

Ajith's next film Asal has begun and director Saran, who has just completed Modhi Vilayadu, seems to be in no mood to take a break! Ajith has a dual role in Asal and will romance two heroines. It is confirmed that Sameera Reddy has a pivotal role in the film.

After several films in Bollywood and Tollywood, Sameera tasted success recently with Vaaranam Aayiram (2008) directed by Gautham Menon. She has now been signed up by Gautham for another film, reportedly a nail-biting thriller.

Sources say Shriya Saran was approached for Asal, but she declined the offer due to prior committments in other films. Hence Sameera came into the picture.

Dusky Sameera entered the limelight with music videos and went on to act in several films such as Musafir and Taxi Number 9211. She is the first Indian actress who has her own video game and was chosen by the BBC to step in for Spice Girl Emma Bunton. Sameera also played a guest role in a British TV serial Casualty.

Had Sameera entered Kollywood much earlier, she would have become famous already; she will surely set the screen on fire with her solid performance in Asal. Now, after being cast as the leading lady in Asal, Sameera has entered the big league!
