The theatre ticket pricing has been officially announced and it looks like online booking charges will soon be completely removed from all screens.

Here is a breakdown of the ticket pricing.

For multiplex screens, the total cost is Rs. 150 + 42 (GST) + 12 = Rs. 204.

For non-multiplex screens, ticket cost is Rs. 100 + 18 (GST) + 8 = Rs. 126.

The split up is for AC theaters in Chennai City and will vary based on the region where they are located. 


New Ticket Rates (Max):

Multiplex - Rs. 206.16

A/C Non-Multiplex - Rs.127.44

Non-AC - Rs.101.95

A lot of other rules are also imposed to make cinema accessible for the average family in TN. The parking cost is to be removed, only MRP in canteen and other changes are expected to attract more audiences which will also help eradicate piracy.
