The return of Jaishree

Kadhal 2 Kalyanam has become the talk of the town. Many things are happening in this film which has turned all the heads towards it – Arya’s brother Shahir is the debut hero, Divya Spandana is the heroine, and most importantly, yesteryear heroine Jaishree will make a comeback in this film.

Jaishree became the heartthrob of the youth in the 80s. She fitted in everyone’s dream of a girl who looks equally attractive in both modern and traditional wear. With an ability to portray characters poles apart and excel in them, she reigned supreme in the entire southern film industry. But she shocked the entire film industry by retiring from films and getting married during the prime of her career.

Much to the delight of her fans, she re-emerged as�anchor of a TV reality show�on a prominent Tamil�channel. She became the “prime time queen” and was the major reason for the show’s�rising TRP.

Now, this beautiful lady is back in tinsel world. She�will be the on-screen�mother of�the young her Shahir and her role will be similar to�what Nathiya did in M. Kumaran, S/O Mahalakshmi.�Apart from her prominent role in Kadhal 2 Kalyanam, she will�also be seen in two Telugu films, two Tamil films and many more ad films.�Not interested in being a prolific actor, she is choosing her scripts very carefully. It is said that she liked the script of Kadhal 2 Kalyanam and her role much that she�readily accepted the role.
