Ranbir in Mani Ratnam’s film

Finally, Ranbir gets to act in a Mani Ratnam film! After considering him for Raavan, Mani Ratnam decided to take to his in-house hero Abhishek Bachchan, leaving the young lad a little disappointed. But now, it is time for him to rejoice as Mani Ratnam has announced that Ranbir Kapoor will be the hero of his next film, whose script is also penned by Rensil D’Silva (Ravana’s scriptwriter).

The film, about a young man who tries to prove his identity, will go on floors as soon as Mani Ratnam is free from Ravana/ Ashokavanam. Ranbir Kapoor is quite ecstatic about this offer as a film with Mani Ratnam is a matter of pride for any actor.
