Rajni,Nayantara win Fan Club Awards

The annual fan club awards for 2007 have been announced. Every year, the Chennai Cine Fans’ Club, headed by former judge Jagadeesan, selects the best film actors and technicians and recognizes their good work by conferring this award. Parthasarathy, Chief Secretary of Cine Fan Club announced the winners’ list in a simple function graced by former judge Vallinayagam and Chennai Cine Fan Club president Jagadeesan.

The recipients of this award are:

Technicians:

Best Producer: Aascar Ravichandran
Best Director: Vishnuvardhan (Billa)
Best Film: Periyar
Special Award: Sivaji
Best Music Composer: Yuvanshankar Raja
Best Lyricist: Na. Muthukumar
Best Cinematographer: Neerav Shah (Billa)

Actors:

Three actors have been selected for the best actor category and four for the best actress category.

Best Actors: Rajinikanth (Sivaji), Ajith (Billa), Jeevan (Naan Avanillai).
Best Actresses: Nayantara (Billa), Trisha (Kireedam), Namitha (Naan Avanillai), Malavika (Naan Avanillai).

Best Character Artist (Male): Sathyaraj (Periyar)
Best Character Artist (Female): Khushbu (Periyar)

The award reflects the popularity gained by some films released in 2007.
