Raja confident about Tamannaah

Jayam Raja is back behind the camera, remaking a hit Telugu movie into Tamil, with his brother Jayam Ravi in the lead of course! Thilalangadi is the Tamil version of Kick (Telugu) that had Illeana, Shaam and Ravi Teja. Shaam reprises the cop role he played in the Telugu flick and Ravi steps into Ravi Teja’s role. Raja was pretty intent on getting Illeana to act in the Tamil film but for reasons best known to her, she refused to comply. [Some say her demand for a huge pay is why she is yet to make her second Tamil flick. Others say her bad experiences while shooting for her Tamil debut KD opposite Ravi Krishna stop her from working in Tamil. But now, it is rumoured she is ready to act in Vikram’s next movie.]

Jayam Raja has chosen Tamannaah, who was willing to step in, and now, Raja says he’s sure she will do even better! “I have absolute faith that Tammannah will do a great job, and I’m even more sure that after Thilalangadi, she will scale greater heights in cinema,” he insists. Asked why he picked Kick to remake, he says, â€śI want to make my brother the No. 1 actor in Tamil cinema, hence I want to make only good movies that are sure to boost his image.”
