Rahman to be conferred with doctorate
Rahman's win at the Oscars has made him world-famous. Indian insititutes are vying with each other to honour and invite him to give a guest lecture. On June 7th, he will be conferred with a doctorate by the Aligarh Muslim University. The chief guest will be Shri Gopalkrishna Gandhi, Governor of West Bengal.
The renowned composer has been receiving calls from around the world this year. It may be noted that some time ago Anna University, Chennai had conferred him with a doctorate, followed by an honour from Middlesex University, London.
