Rahman enthralls god's own denizens!

People�of god's own country had every reason to celebrate on Sunday (May 3rd)! A.R. Rahman was performing live in a concert titled 'Jai Ho' at the Corporation Stadium in Kozhikode!

The 'Mozart of Madras' was honoured by the State government on Sunday, prior to the concert. The function was well attended by several ministers from the state cabinet. Rahman in turn thanked them for giving him an opportunity to perform live and promised that he would make such�trips more often to Kerala, as many of his gifted singers were from the state.

The stadium was packed and the concert lasted more than four hours! The seats were filled up several hours before the show. Rahman entered a little late to a thunderous applause from the audience and the show went on with the people asking for more!

Many of Rahman's hit numbers, including the latest 'Jai Ho' from Slumdog Millionaire were performed by a team of singers, which included Benny Dayal, Chitra, Hariharan, Unni Mennon, Sadhna Sargam, Rashid Ali, Javed Ali and Raja Hassan.

Rahman was recently voted among the top 100 most influential people in the world by TIME magazine!
