Raavana titled Villain in Telugu

The dubbed Telugu version of ace Mani Ratnam’s bilingual Raavana (Tamil), starring Vikram, Aishwarya Rai and Prithviraj in the lead roles and Prabhu, Karthik and Priyamani in supporting roles, has been titled Villain.

The posters of the film are already out and the movie will be released simultaneously in all three languages: Raavan in Hindi, Raavana in Tamil and Villain in Telugu on June 18.

The Hindi version has Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Vikram in the lead roles while Govinda, Ravi Kishan, Nikhil Dwivedi and Priyamani play key supporting roles. Sony Music has recently bagged the audio rights. Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan unveiled the music of Raavan in a grand event held at Yashraj studios.

Oscar award winner A.R. Rahman has composed the music and Santosh Sivan is the cinematographer. The movie is inspired by the great Indian epic Ramayana, which is the story of Rama, whose wife Sita was abducted by the Raavana. It is said that the director has given a new twist to the tale.
