With his negative role in Anjaathe, Prasanna showed everyone that he does not want to be typecast in his roles. The ease with which he carried off the role showed that he is an actor who does a lot of homework. Prasanna said he feels he has to prepare well for his roles, however small or big they might be. He also said that the director’s inputs and feedback also prove very valuable in achieving a good performance.

This brilliant actor is rumoured to have bagged a role in an untitled film to be produced by V.A. Durai, who produced Pithamagan. The buzz is that this flick will be directed by an assistant of director Jananathan, who won the National Award for his directorial debut Iyarkai and who directed the offbeat E.

At present, Prasanna plays father to a six-year-old in Achamundu Achamundu starring Sneha and famous Hollywood actor John Shea. He will sign two films soon. He started his career with Madras Talkies’ Five Stars which marked the debut of a bunch of newcomers including Kanihaa. He also handles comedy roles pretty well, which we noticed in Cheena Thaana 001.

Gone are the days when a Kollywood hero used to be shackled by stereotypes of Tamil cinema which precluded him from doing much more than running around trees with his heroine. Today, Tamil cinema stands tall because of its experimentation and penchant for records too. To this date, Suyamvaram, whose cast comprised big names of Tamil film industry, is the fastest full-length feature film made!

With more actors like Prasanna, Vikram, Vishal, Jiiva and Arun Vijay willing to experiment with and excel in their roles, adventure-loving Tamil cinema will sure soar higher in the days to come!
