Pranavam Arts bounces back

Superstar Mohanlal's home banner Pranavam Arts, makers of evergreen His Highness Abdullah, Bharatham, Kamaladalam and Vanaprastham, is back to film production after a gap of 11 years.

The production house will soon produce Army officer-turned-filmmaker Major Ravi's Kandahar in association with a Mumbai based corporate. Mohanlal's brother-in-law Suresh Balaji will be the production-in-charge.

Kandahar is made simultaneously in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu with Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Mohanlal in the lead.

Tamil hero Suriya, who was to play a commando in the film, is now out of the project as he has no free dates! Mohanlal is now on the lookout for a saleable action hero in Tamil to replace Suriya. Kandahar will commence shooting by 2010 end in Delhi, Nepal and Kerala.
