Prakashraj as LTTE chief!

At a recent press conference organized by the Karnataka Film Journalists' Association, multilingual actor Prakashraj divulged that he has been signed up for the role of LTTE chief Vellupillai Prabhakaran in a Tamil film. But the actor has refused to reveal the name of the director or the producer.

"I would like to perform the role according to the dictates of the script and requirement of the director. I will not do any homework or prepare for this role in detail as I think spontaneity will provide better results than anything," said the actor.

Playing real life characters is quite his forte, as he has won three National Awards and 18 State awards for his high voltage performances, including his role as young M. Karunanidhi, DMK president and the current Tamil Nadu Chief Minister in Mani Ratnam's Iruvar and as faction leader Rayalaseema in director Krishna Vamshi's Anthapuram. With such performances behind him, this should be one film worth waiting for!
