Poonam learnt to play violin for Thenavettu
Poonam Bajwa, who got raves for her performance in Seval that released on Deepavali, is a dedicated actress. This was clearly evident from her preparation for her role in Thenavettu, Sun Pictures' soon-to-release second presentation; their first presentation was Kadhalil Vizhunden starring Nakul and Sunaina. Her assiduity coupled with her glamour makes her a prospective box office queen.
Thenavettu, starring Poonam Bajwa and Jiiva in the lead, is directed by Kadhir. Poonam plays a violin teacher; to be able to portray a violin teacher exactly on screen, she decided to get some violin lessons! Watch out for her realistic performance in Thenavettu. Music experts can pay attention to her finger placements on the violin – she has got all the chords right!

Recounting her experience of working in Thenavettu, Poonam says that this film is full of energy and targets youth; the unit refers it to as “a festival for youth”. She said that she readily accepted this role when Kadhir narratedthe story and her part in it; she liked her character of a violin teacher from a middle-class family. She also applauded Kadhir profusely for his professionalism: there was not a single hiccup since the beginning of shooting as everything was chalked out perfectly. Kadhirensured everything went according to the plan – be it placement of props or lighting or songs! Poonam also appreciated Jiiva for his dedication and his simplicity. She said she is quite happy to be working in such a big film so early in her career.
She is beaming with confidence that she will definitely make a place for herself in Kollywood, especially with a good start in Seval and, now, agreat performance in Thenavettu.
