STR-Varalaxmi Sarathkumar starrer Podaa Podi  is in the making for a long time. The film is expected to be a dance musical with veteran actress Shobana in a prominent role. Recently we learned that the film will depict three different phases of life and that is the reason for the delay. The film is produced by Gemini Film Circuit and debutant Vignesh Shivan is the director. Music director Dharan's peppy number and cameraman Duncan Telford's stylish visuals are expected to be a major highlight of this flick.

According to the producers, Podaa Podi is Simbu's big budget film till date and they also assure that this film will be a turning point in his career. The film is being shot in London for close to three months, capturing two different seasons.
